July 12, 2003 - All's not quiet
Pardon any mess you may have noticed at the website recently. We've been moving the website to a new host and remapping our domains and e-mail handlers. Even though it's been a pain, I've been in a good mood the whole time (well, most of it) as I've been listening to Frou Frou.
We will be rescheduling our previous June show in the next couple months; sorry about the cancellation, but such is the world of electronic music and the club scene.
New tracks coming in the next couple months as we've moved most projects over into Ableton's Live application to give us a world of flexibility.
September 20, 2002 - Joining the
We've been quiet like church mice as we work on new material for an upcoming full release, but the Lulu Tech Circus is coming to town, and if there's ever one thing we always wanted to do it was to join the circus.
Catch our sonic highwire act on Sunday at noon, and check out us and other electronic artists on the upcoming Lulu Tech Circus Sampler CD!

March 17, 2001 - Gracias
Thanks everyone for coming out to Five Alive! Much thanks from us to the righteous Jen Solo and her production crew for a great party, and to Billie Blaze for the incredible sound system.
And thanks to Grimm for helping us record our set, which, in a further profusion on gratitude, we will be placing on-line in MP3 and RealAudio for all.
March 6, 2001 - Live at Alive
We'll be performing live at Five Alive in Durham, NC on March 16th. The party starts at 10 pm at the newly renovated Durham Armory, and we will be premiering two completely new songs and four brand spankin' new remixes.

October 5, 2000 - Radio Freeside
We will be joining DJ Snack live in the WKNC (88.1FM, Raleigh, NC) studios on Tuesday, October 10 for some chit chatting, remix playing, and most joyous of all, live performance. Tune in starting at 8 PM.
October 2, 2000 - Construction Time Again
Parts of the website and some of the contact e-mail addresses may be occasionally down in the next 24 hours as we are moving to a bigger and badder website server.
September 15, 2000 - Going Solo (Dojo)
Our bookings are now being handled though Jen Solo's Solo Productions (
888-986-4855 now 919-624-1968).
September 11, 2000 - Error in the System
For those of you who tried to use the online ordering and couldn't get the shopping cart to work, a quick mea culpa. I accidentally deleted a line of code. The problem has now been fixed.

The Disco's Not Dead Mix of Daft Disco and Sojourn Mix of Move are now available in MP3.

For those of you who do your own music creation, especially those who use Sonic Foundry's Acid, we've put a people pleasing GUI on a couple in house utility programs and released it (fo' free) as the Freeside Utilities for Acid. Share and enjoy!
May 18, 2000 - Apostasia goes Brick
For those of you who can't take advantage of online sales, we have begun the physical distribution of Apostasia in retail stores, beginning with the Research Triangle Area. Here's a current listing of stores where it can be found. Also, Apostasia may be purchased from Solo Productions' event vending at select events in the Southeastern U.S., such as this Friday's Da Skillz, hosted by Sonic Boom.
May 11, 2000 - Apostasia Now On
Apostasia is now here and available for purchase online! Haven't heard it yet? Hear it now in streaming audio. And since we have no major label executives to support, we've cut out their part of the price.
April 16, 2000 - Remixes now online
We have placed the first five remixes of Apostasia songs online in RealAudio, including one of "Are You Feeling It?", two of "Move", and two of "Daft Disco." So go listen to 'em already.
April 15, 2000 - Please release me, set me
The release date for Apostasia has been pushed back to May 16th due to the manufacturing problems. There should no further delays.
March 26, 2000 - Miami Vice
Ah, yes, we've taken the Marcus Garvey down to the Winter Music Conference here in lovely Miami Beach, Florida. We're staying right down in bohemian South Beach in the center of the action and trying to stay out of trouble. Unless it looks fun. We're going to the Astralwerks party soon, and then maybe we'll go party hopping.
If any of you jolly people are down here as well drop me a line and we can sit around the pool drinking margaritas and telling war stories if you were in a war. I wasn't of course, but getting into some clubs can be quite a battle, can it?
The CD's will be here soon, there's been a manufacturing problem (wouldn't ya just know?), so a couple weeks delay has ensued.
Raja would like to take this moment to say to all you aspiring artists to remember to finish your promo packs early, so you don't have to stay up 38 straight hours to make sure you have them ready for a conference (like say, this one).
March 9, 2000 - Anticipation
Hear it now online! All the songs from Apostasia are now available to be heard in streaming realAudio as we await the arrival of the finished discs.
March 5, 2000 - Apostasia is Complete
The cd has been completed and is off to the manufacturing plant. Apostasia consists of 12 songs with 5 with never heard before new songs ("Gravity Well", "Move", "Temenos Tenggri", "Are You Feeling It?" and "Didge It"). I'll post a complete track listing very soon. For the moment I will attempt to relax a day or two before we dive back into doing a few select remixes on some of the songs.
February 14, 2000 - No Rest for the Wicked
Our final songs are due tomorrow, so I'm going to be up late. Just as well, I prefer being awake in the early morning hours when all you hear is the distant train whistles echoing up through the atmosphere. Nice and quiet, with no distractions. Currently, there are four songs completed (working titles "Move", "KemCure", "Didgeridoo", and "Are You Feeling It?" with two more on the verge ("Beyond" and "Omniscience").
P.S. Happy Birthday Maggie!
February 4, 2000 - The Importance of Naming
The new CD has been titled - Apostasia. Final mixes for the new songs will be completed within the next two weeks. It looks we'll have six new songs ready by that time.
January 11, 2000 - Post-Apocalyptic Studio
Not. No apocalypse, not even a little one. And we even had extra liquor here in the station just in case. But we have turned into studio rats, and will remain so until we've brought forth a full length CD. And when will that be you might ask? Rather soon, we're happy to reply. Not as soon as tomorrow, but soon enough. Our target date is the Spring Equinox (March 20, around 7 am UDT). The CD will feature at least four new songs, some of which we'll put up preliminary mixes of on the website in February. But other than that we're not coming out of the studio 'til we're done, even if we do see our shadows on February 2nd.
December 6, 1999 - Rub-a-dub-dub
We've just made our first dub plate, and it's a very funky thing. It's got a special "Extended Flea Mix" of Daft Disco on Side A and Straight On 'Til Morning on the flipside. You may hear it being played by the Snackster during one of his Monday radio shows or his many party appearances. And lucky us, we can spin it ourselves. We've got a couple loaner turntables to actually spin it on (thanks Mike!). But we won't be abandoning the studio for the dj live any time soon - we're really bad dj's. =)
27, 1999 - Radio Killed the Studio Stars
Thanks to Joey, James, and everyone else (more names than our poor brains can remember) who called in Monday night. The answer to popular question of "where can I buy your record" doesn't have a good answer right now, because we haven't done one yet. But we're working on it. We're 3/4 of the way there, and are aiming to have all the tracks ready for album mixing just after the holidays.
We've put the newly premiered song "Biostation Helix" up in RealAudio, and a final mix of "Straight On 'Til Morning" will be up in about two weeks.
October 19, 1999 - Radio Gaga
The permanent residents will be making a guest appearance on WKNC's Afterhours this Monday, October 25th at 9 pm with DJ Snack. To commemorate the occasion, we'll be playing two brand spankin' new songs.
September 9, 1999 - Construction
Raja has finished his final final final mix of IDSR! And to show how much we appreciate our wonderful Earth-bound fans patience, this Saturday, September 11, we will be releasing it free to the web as an MP3!
September 8, 1999 - Fables of the
Looks like the new workstation has just about got all its baby blues out of its system. Oh lord for the day when you don't have to spend weeks troubleshooting a digital audio system to do what ya gotta do. Also time for Intel to get a new solution to the IRQ problem to fix their old solution to the IRQ problem. And time for the world to live in peace and harmony. And it's time for me to go to bed.
July 25, 1999 - Fables of the Reconstruction
We've spent the weekend re-arranging the studio because of the impending arrival of a new, even more powerful computer (i'm giddy like a school-girl)! But we've got a new set of songs well underway - look for the first one soon. Raja's got his rough mix of I.D.S.R. done, and so look for new songs on the website in the coming weeks. My new drum libraries are fully trimmed, cleaned, and organized for instant use, so I've starting catching up on song production.
If you'd like to hear us live, let your local promoters know. They'll book the artists you ask for, so make your voice heard. =)
July 1, 1999 - Recent Events
More tunes coming soon! We should have at least two tracks up in the next couple weeks. Raja's finishing up writing on a new piece called I.D.S.R., and another as yet untitled pieces. I've fallen behind on song completion while spending hours (days, weeks) chopping, processing, and mutilating samples to give myself more sounds for our new stuff. But it will all be worth it...
I am also in mourning. It looks as though my old dear old electronic friend (my first synth, the Yamaha SY-22) has passed away. It has developed a serious problem (no sound), and it's bad enough that to fix it would have to go a serious synth doctor. Worse, I clearly hit the wrong button to exit diagnostic mode - I wiped out all my old sounds. I discovered this after starting the SysEx dump to back them up. So my poor SY-22 can't sing, and it has lost its soul. I'm going to be bummed for a couple days. =(
June 30, 1999 - Radio Days
For those of you in the RTP area, Duke's WXDU (88.7 FM) has gotten Transmission now, so call and request it. And be sure to say "hi" to Jason.
April 16, 1999 - THE NEW WEBSITE IS HERE
With more info, a new MP3, and nicer graphics, the new website is now up. A new Feedback and contact section has been added, also. We welcome comments on the new design, so if you see anything you like, dislike, or if you think something is missing, please send feedback to the webmaster (especially if you see bugs). The site will be continue getting tuned and updated throughout the next few days.
We are currently lining up appearances for the next few months, more news on them soon. If you're a promoter and are interested in booking us, here's the info you need.
April 15, 1999 - And we' jammin'
The website isn't going up tonight like I planned. We spent the night in a bass, guitar, loops, and massive effects jam-fest with our buddy Shan. We just got in a new Big Briar MoogerFooger Low-Pass Filter box (designed by preeminent synth pioneer Bob Moog), and it is phenomenal! Absolutely makes a bass guitar come alive. Ultracool is the only word I have to describe how much fun this night was.
April 6, 1999 - Status Report
The website will be getting a facelift soon, with more content and more spiffy graphics. We're also be adding low and high bandwidth versions after that. If you notice any problems, please let us know. It's just not possible to test websites on all the variations of platforms and browsers that exist today, so we need your feedback to fix browsers specific bugs.
As far as sound goes, the permanent residents are busy working on more and more new music, and should have at least two more songs in (more or less) final form at the end of this month. If you live in the Raleigh, NC area, you'll be happy to know that WKNC's Afterhours has added our current (and only) demo cd, Transmission to the rotation (thanks guys!).
